Scouting offers challenge and adventure to young people and adults.

We believe in helping our Members fulfil their potential by working in teams, learning by doing, and thinking for themselves.

We give people of every background the chance to stretch themselves, learn #SkillsForLife and make life long friedship.

Through the adventure of Scouting, young people get to take risks in a safe environment, and have their first taste of responsibility. We give young people experiences they’ll never forget. The sort of adventure Scouting offers is the chance to experience something different and the opportunity to challenge yourself. When a Beaver Scout wakes up the morning after a sleepover, or Cub Scout has just got over her fear of heights by completing her first abseil - that’s adventure.

As a young person

You can contact us for more details or to place your child on the waiting list at Depending on your child’s age they’ll join either Beavers (Tuesday, 6-8 year olds), Cubs (Tuesday, 8-10½ year olds), or Scouts (Friday, 10½-14 year olds).

Are you doing the DofE award and looking to complete the service part? Alongside Aberdeen District Young Leaders we can help with that, just drop an email to and find out if we’re a good fit for you.

As an Adult

No experience required - We’ll give you all the training and support you need to feel good in your chosen role.

Whether you’re after rejoining the adventure or want to try something new we can find a role for you. Volunteering needn’t be an every week commitment and if you’re not sure if it’s for you then you can try the Four Week Challenge to find out.
